Scott continued to look up at the ceiling for a while. Completely spent from all the laughing that he had just done, he had to take a moment to simply reflect on the bullshit that he had just accomplished.

Growth skills were skills that did not require his attributes to be at a certain level. They could be upgraded with experience points. This sort of thing might seem counter-intuitive since that also meant that all his skills, and the skills of his subordinates were now at level one. They would have to retrain with experience point expenditures.

Harmony might have gotten out of it, if she opted out, but everyone else on his payroll had just had their skills reset. There was a definite need for a team meeting the next morning.

Previously, all he or his subordinates had to do was raise their attributes and their skills would rise accordingly. It was a simple system. Yet, it was also incredibly confining.

Now he could focus his attention on the skills that he wanted to focus on and raise his base attributes when he felt it prudent to do so. The skill caps of his skills would have increased or been removed altogether.

More importantly, it meant that he was no longer bound to charisma increases when it came to the level of his summoning skills. His attributes would still be incredibly important, but they were not an absolute necessity.

Of course, he knew there would be a downside to that… The mana pool.

Scott brought up one of his summoning skills and sighed. “Yep. The mana pool’s gone now…”
